Puppies new home. Mission completed :)

I am so happy!!! I finally found a home for my puppies. The day before i leave for Sweden.
I met this lovely woman Mary at the market a week ago and she fell in love with Taco and Alaska straight away. But she lives in America so we weren't sure she could take them there, So i kept looking for a home for them. A few people wanted them but it didn't feel right, so I went back to the market on saturday and I met Mary again. And she really wanted them so I took them to the vet again for their second shots and she wanted to help us to get all their papers right. So today it was finalised. They are ready to travel to Wisconsin with them in two weeks time. They are the nicest couple and I couldn't be happier. Not only have I found them a home but I also got some great new friends:) and they live on a beautiful farm where the puppies will have the best life ever:). I will get updates and pictures of them all the time...thank God..

So from left to die in a cave at the beach, to moving to a loving home at a farm in Wisconsin.

My three emotional weeks fostering the puppies has come to an end. A fairytail ending. My mission is complete.

Sweden I´m coming home...

Last days in San Miguel

So I have two more days here and I still have the puppies. But hopefully tomorrow fingers crossed they will have a new home.
I´ve been staying with the nicest family my last weeks here. They been helping me with the puppies a lot and we´ve been cooking dinner, drinking wine and playing cards. Just been having a nice relaxing time besides the fact that I´ve been working my ass off trying to help the puppies.
So here´s just some pics of my last days. And tomorrow hopefully there will be a sunshine story to tell..

Elizabeth, Pia and I on viernes de Dolores. Easter.

Just two cute little puppies

Hanging at a nice pool, relaxing for the first time for real in three weeks not worrying about the puppies

Walking around looking at easter stuff and showing the pups

Guardian Angel, hard at work

Trying to find a home for the puppies is harder than i thought. In San Miguel I have been to all the vets and put posters up, standing at the markets with an adopt me sign, handing out flyers, standing outside schools, posting on all the groups on Facebook, sending messages to people I don't know here to ask for help, been to rescue centers but they are full.. So now I just wait to see if someone answers. I´m still going to walk around town to hand out flyers and show the puppies. The biggest marketing effort EVER. I am so tired and but I have to keep my hopes up. I don't know what to do if I don't find them a home. I can't just leave them on the street :´(. Fingers crossed

Now margarita with Kajsa :). A little nice break.

Travel with the puppies

So to get back to San miguel I had to fly with Taco and Alaska.  I tried to get them really tired by letting them run around in grass for the first time in their life and they loved it.
Taco could go with me as hand luggage but Alaska had to go in the cargo. That was really hard. But she slept as I gave her to the nice airplane people.
Then I had to wait for her to arrive with the luggage.  It was a nice (horrible) 20 minute walk to get there. And then a nice lady saw her on the luggage thing and picked her of for me.  I have never seen a happier dog in my life. I cried ofcourse. In relief.
And then they slept the whole 4 hours in the private shuttle to San miguel.
And now we are here staying at this great house with lovely people and the pups are really happy.
So now fingers crossed that I will find them a home. It's so stressful not to know but it's my mission.

Bye Alaska :`(

Happily reunited sleeping in the car

Meeting their friends Sigge and Elvis again (they met at the beach where they where found)

Now I´m gonna sleep like a baby..

Back to San Miguel

Bye bye beach. It has been nice. A little different though considering I had to change all my travel plans and just go to two beaches instead of Oaxaca and the djungel. Well I got a lot of puppy love and I have met som really nice people with big hearts. But it is going to be nice to go back to San Miguel and see all my friends and hopefully get som help with the puppies and find a home for them. So we are soon of to the airport and I hope its not going to be a problem flying with them. i have their documents and boxes and then a private shuttle will take me from Mexico city to San Miguel. Cause the buses here wanted to put the puppies under with the luggage. Eehhh no thanks. So private shuttle it is. Fingers crossed for a safe trip.

Turtelitos

Yesterday we went to the beach at sunset to help little newborn turtles to find their way to the ocean. I´t was a really cute thing to watch. It´s so weird that they know exactly where to go with a mission. Some ran down to the water some others took their little time and we were all cheering on. And as soon as a wave came, they where gone, having to swim for 5 km to find their mother. Only 15% survive the swim

Greetings from the beach says Taco and Alaska

Taco and Alaska

I have been a mother of two now for two weeks and i am sooooo tired. I had to change all my travel plans to take care of them. It is a handfull but I fel in love with them and took on a mission to help them so here I am.

Everybody I have met are so nice and they all want to help out. It is really hard to find a home for them here. I think it Will be easier in San Miguel or I hope it Will. Otherwise I am seriously looking in to take them home to Sweden.

They have been to the vet and gotten their shots and pills and documentation. So they can fly atleast to san miguel .

My heart is bleeding....

Bahia de la luna day 5

Today i went snorkelling at the cliffs and saw some beautiful fish. The fisherman came and got the starters for tonights dinner. Some fresh oysters and scallops. Then the day went on like normal. Drink, play with Elvis, read, swim, sleep, drink , play with Elvis, read, swim , sleep. I saw a dead horrible snake in the water so that was exiting. Now I´m sitting stuffed after dinner, listening to the sound of the waves and scratching my mosquito bites. Beach life :)

So the dinner tonight was

SCALLOPS AND TUNA SASHIMI WITH PICKLED ONION AND CILANTRO

FRESH OYSTERS WITH LIME

RIB-EYE STEAK WITH POTATO GRATIN AND TOMATO SALAD

APPLE CRUMBLE WITH ICECREAM

BUENA NOCHE
